Yes, we've had this as a Friday Video before - but there are so many beautiful images (and pooches!) that it's well worth a return engagement. This wonderful compilation is the work of Moira McLaughlin, surely a dog-lover. See here for a complete list of all the artworks.
Beautifully done. I challenged myself to identify each breed as the images morphed. The music has a haunting quality. What a nice way to begin this day.
Thank your for sharing. This is the first time, I've seen it on your wonderful blog (I am a history nerd too -- Boston College history major and not devoted to the history of dogs in art). Best, Moira
One of us -- Loretta Chase -- writes historical romance. One of us -- Susan Holloway Scott -- writes historical novels, and as Isabella Bradford, wrote historical romances, too.
There’s a big difference in how we use history. But we’re equally nuts about it. To us, the everyday details of life in the past are things to talk about, ponder, make fun of -- much in the way normal people talk about their favorite reality show.
We talk about who’s wearing what and who’s sleeping with whom. We try to sort out rumor or myth from fact. We thought there must be at least three other people out there who think history’s fascinating and fun, too. This blog is for them.
