Loretta reports:
Susan has informed me that this is the Two Nerdy History Girls’ five hundredth post.
We sure are a couple of blabbermouths.
But wait. There's more. It seems we've also passed the quarter of a million page view mark. We’re very impressed with ourselves. Also astounded. As our blog description notes, we would have been excited if three people showed up.
As you would expect, I sought nerdy history material befitting so solemn an occasion.
But all you get is a funny video.
Five hundred thanks to Kolbaskina Katya, who brought it to my attention.

Regency breakfast sounds pretty tasty - cake, toast and chocolate. Mmmm!
So of course I had to watch the other 5 parts...I shall blame you for the procrastination. This show was stupendously funny. I had seen them do the Edwardian period, I believe, and now must watch what they do with the Victorians.I won't get anything else done today. :)
Congratulations, ladies. That's quite an achievement.
Loved this clip, and had to go watch the other episodes, too. That one item on the breakfast menu (I believe it was called a tortalow or something like that) that was boiled and baked sounds an awful lot like a bagel, doesn't it?
Congratulations, ladies! I love your blog, and hope we have many more posts to come!
I've watched the whole series several times over, but the Regency episode is by far my most favorite! I love silly sexy dandy Giles "wandering lonely as a cloud" and poor Sue who is so desperate for a husband!
Thank you for sharing the Supersizers...its a necessary thing. <3
Congratulations!
As a matter of fact, I'm watching Giles and Sue Live the Good Life right now, which is another equally fabulous dose of these two struggling to live in another time, LOL.
Might be a day late, but the sentiment is heartfelt. Congrats, ladies, on an awesome blog and one of my must reads every day. You're a fount of information and I learn something new every day.
The video is hysterical!
Thank you for the good wishes! I, too, wasted valuable writing time watching the entire Regency series. It was funny, yet true. Shouldn't every day start with chocolate? And yes, Marni, I thought, "But isn't that a bagel?"
Congrats on the 500th post! Woo-hoo. I look forward to more interesting posts form you two in the future. Oh and I skeeve Regency Era food. That wow wow sauce is no no sauce in my book.
This is one of my favourite series! I modeled my "Eating Like an Edwardian" blog on the basic idea (it was the first episode of the series).
