At first glance, I assumed the morning dress had a lacy top, but in fact it’s a spencer—a smart choice for a coolish April day.  I’ll call your attention to the way the bottom of the morning dress is finished, and the fact that the lady hasn’t forgotten her jewelry.  The walking dress, too, makes some concession to unpredictable spring weather, with a velvet mantle trimmed in fur.
