A Century of Men on Film - in Three & a Half Minutes
Friday, January 20, 2012
One of our most popular Friday Videos was 500 Years of Women in Art. Here we offer equal time to the gentlemen with (nearly) a century of film actors, from silent screen heart-throbs to today's Hollywood stars. From a historical viewpoint, it's interesting to see how what's considered a handsome man has changed – and what hasn't.

Robert Mitchum. :)
Fascinating, but there's only about three that I think are pretty enough to run away with! (And I love that my word verification almost references 'ovulate'!!!)
The art video was fabulous, with the features morphing into painting. This is a little unsettling, with photographs changing into faces you know and recognise. I think I counted 70 faces. It would be a fun game to see how many names one could shout out! Is there a list (for either video) anywhere?
i watched twice to see if there was a common denominator among all those hunks. I think it is the eyes, they all have these brooding sexy eyes...well almost all. And all the real pretty boys have a squared off jaw. What do you think?
Well that was fun! Played a game to see how many I could name before it morphed agian - did pretty well - at least I recognized all of them. It was interesting as they morphed to see the similar facial shapes.
Really amazing! Are there some who appear more than once? I could have sworn that I saw a couple of the same face although they morph so fast I will have to slow it down to be sure.

Ha-ha, this was great. Sure took a long time for George Clooney to show up, though!
Got'em all, which means I spent too much of my childhood indoors watching old movies.
