Susan & Loretta report together:

It's true: we had such an excellent time in Colonial Williamsburg this spring that we HAD to return.  We've been here this week gathering every manner of nifty Nerdy Girl facts for you, plus taking lots of pix, all of which we intend to share with you in the coming weeks.

If you think this sounds like great and arduous work, just take a look at this picture of Loretta as she learns more about 18th c. coaches.  She is riding in the Earl of Dunmore's carriage.  She has an 18th c. gentleman (actor/interpreter Mark Schneider) riding along side her.  She is listening avidly as he tells her everything she needs to know, and more.

Dear Readers, can you now understand the lengths to which we go for you?

Stay tuned....

And dear TNHG, your readers are grateful for all the sacrifices you make on our behalf!

Looking forward to the Williamsburg updates. Especially the pictures of hot guys on horses.

I'm very concerned. You give and give, then give some more. As an emergency intervention measure, I'm having sent to each of you a copy of, "Meditations for NHGs Who Do Too Much, or, My, Are Those Breeches as Soft As they Appear, Sirrah?"

I suspect I could win the "I went farther for research" prize this week. But I do look forward to more from Colonial Williamsburg, one of my favourite spots!

I love the blue of his coat. Who cares what color his eyes are!

I've been to Williamsburg at least a half dozen times and had no idea you could take a carriage ride. How clueless have I been? How does one hire a carriage, as well as get a gentleman to escort you, or is that a TNHG special privilege? :)

Christine, you can inquire about carriage rides at the visitor center. I've never done one cuz they're out of my price range, but it sure looked like Loretta was having fun, or was that Susan??
