Loretta reports:
As I've mentioned
previously, I can be utterly captivated by masculine grace. Dancing men, like Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly or John Travolta hold me enthralled.
But when it comes to grace and dignity, no one can match Mr. Darcy. Now, thanks to the wonders of cyberspace we can all see it, too, right
here.To those who've already seen it, I say, "Well, watch it again." To those who haven't: Aren't you glad now you didn't miss it? And to everyone: This is just in case you started thinking we weren't shallow or something.

I love it when Darcy goes all spider-monkey on Caroline Bingley.
I have to say, this particular illustration of the quadrille at Almack's never fails to give me a giggle, too.
I'm astonished that anyone could call you and Susan shallow!
Very funny! It would be the wrong era and all, but if you are looking for entertaining examples of 'masculine grace' on the dance floor you can't go wrong with the same gentleman's interpretation of Flashdance!
Thank you for providing such an entertaining and interesting website!
Oh, TOO funny! I wasn't expecting that at all. Thank you for a hilarious way to start my day!
Oh, but Vanessa, we are. Anonymous, I'll have to check it out. Flashdance is history, too, you know! ConnieG, we aim to amuse, among other things.
I love it! And now so do my sisters and my cousins and my aunts.
OMG! Too, too funny!
But next time, give me some kind of disclaimer so I don't have a mouth full of coffee when someone delivers a line like "Oh, Caroline, would you please..." because it went everywhere!
Missed you both, though I read both blogs still every day :)

Phew.I no longer feel I may be asked to abstain from visiting TNHG for lowering the tone of discourse. Huzzah! It's only fitting I add that I always knew -- or at least fantasized -- that Darcy had that particular form of eloquence in him.
Have I mention that the NHGs rock?
Jane O, Yes, I sent it around the universe, too. Theo, it's good to have you here! Michelle, you can lower our tone anytime. And you can mention it again, if you want.
How nice to have so many of our favorite readers checking in today! Must be the lure of the Dancing Darcy.
And to prove exactly how stunningly shallow we can be here at the TNHG: click on that charming print of the Regency-era dancers at the top of this post.
Am I the only one who noticed that the name of the gentleman on the right is ClanRonald MacDonald, as in "Ahh, m'lady, would you like fries with that quadrille?"
