I especially like Colonial Williamsburg early in the morning when the streets are empty except for the occasional dog-walker. The shadows are sharp, the sky is bright with a hint of mist, and it's much easier to imagine the 18th century town and its inhabitants. Who says ghosts only come out at night?
If you're still around on Friday, the Costume Design Center is having its annual open house from 9:30 to 3:45. I'll be upstairs talking about storage and helping people try things on!!
ReplyDeleteWow, those leaves are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that those particular trees with the gorgeous colors are in the minority - the trees in Virginia are just beginning to turn. But these ARE beauties!
ReplyDeleteAllison, please email me your full name at SHScott21@gmail.com. I'll ask for you on Friday. :)
Lovely! I spent a night in the old part a few years ago, and it was like waking up in another century. So special.
