Historically, I believe that until the 1950's and 1960's pink was more appropriate for boys baby showers than girls. If you look at old catalogs, they say that pink (warm color) is for boys, and blue (subdued color) is for girls. However, they think the ones that I have shown them are the minority because I only have pictures of two dresses in my phone. Most people still see the browns and blacks, and even grays.
