I ...I enjoyed the article on the female computers. I am proud to say that my mother was a female computer at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia for her entire career. She worked along with Katherine Johnson doing this work. They were both the same age and good friends. I am delighted to see that these outstanding women are finally getting the recognition they deserve. Katherine Johnson recently received an award from the President. Ms. Johnson is still alive and going strong. Unfortunately, I lost my mother in 1976.
